GETTING TO MÉRIDA

From the United States : direct flights from Miami and Dallas-Fort Worth (American) and Houston (United). From anywhere else, connections are made through Mexico City, Cancun, or a connecting hub in the United States.
From Mexico : frequent daily flights from Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara and other points with Aeromexico, Volaris and VivaAerobus.
From Europe : There are no direct flights. The route goes through Mexico City, Cancun, or a connecting hub in the US. Please note that if you have a layover in the US, you will need an ESTA authorization or a US visa, even if you are in transit.
Use official taxis; Uber/DiDi do not have access to the airport but do operate in the rest of the city.
Transfers from the hotel may be available.

A 3,5–4 horas de Mérida.

Autobús ADO. De 4 a 5,5 horas; muy cómodo (solicita los servicios ADO Platino o GL). Precios desde unos 700 MXN. Salidas desde el aeropuerto de Cancún y desde el centro de la ciudad.

En coche: unas 3,5 horas por la autopista de cuota. Los peajes cuestan aproximadamente 600 MXN por trayecto y se pagan fácilmente en efectivo; la carretera está en excelentes condiciones.

Ten en cuenta la zona horaria: Cancún y el estado de Quintana Roo tienen una hora más que Mérida. Es frecuente perder conexiones por este motivo.
ENTRY, VISAS & PASSPORTS
There are no visa requirements for most countries. If your nationality does require a Mexican visa (see list), there’s a very useful exemption: if you already hold a valid visa or permanent residence for the US, Canada, the UK, Japan or the Schengen area, you can enter Mexico visa-free. If you don’t, apply at your nearest Mexican consulate as early as possible — appointments can take months. Please tell us if you need an invitation letter; we’ll write one straight away.
